I'm in my mid 30's and I've been taking transport photos since 1989 now with over 100,000 in my collection.
Not all of my pics are shown here, if there is something you require that is not shown, please get in touch. If I have what you want I may be able to supply it.
I'm originally from Oldham, near Manchester moving to Bristol in 1998. Therefore, my gallery will have a North West / South West bias but I intend to cover as much of the country as I can. Some European operations will be covered as I try to make regular trips to northern Europe and Ireland.
I started with digital photos in 2002 - a selection of which appear here. I used a Fuji Finepix S5000 until June 2007, I currently use a Fuji Finepix S6500FD.

| 1 | 25. This was the shot I wanted to get during the whole trip. My ex GM Metrobus 5120 pictured outside its long time home depot of York St, Glossop. Note the apt destination of Glossop depot! This former North Western depot has recently been closed by Stagecoach Manchester but is still used for storage of withdrawn vehicles. This is probably the last time EVER that 5120 will be pictured outside it old home depot looking like this although this colour scheme is vaguely similar to the old North Western livery. Mind you, I doubt if North Western would ever have had metrobuses as an NBC subsiduary if it remained seperate from GMT. More than likely it would have been a large Bristol VR / Olympian user. The next time 5120 ventures north it will be looking different and the old York St depot will more than likely have been sold off for redevelopment - it is currently up for sale..... | 5120 returns to Manchester! | (23) |
| 2 | 8. 5120 is safely stored in her temporary home for the week. I have been visiting Stotts of Oldham's premises ever since I was at school and familiar with the owners. Therefore, a phone call to Steven Stott to ask for help in storing my bus for the week was met with enthusiasm and a warm welcome. 5120 is seen here alongside several of Stotts' own metrobuses - some of them sidelined for withdrawal. | 5120 returns to Manchester! | (20) |

| 8 | 2. Taking a breather. I had set off from Bristol at 02:30 on the morning of 30th October. Travelling up the M5, I stopped off at each set of services to check on water levels and to ensure the engine didn't over heat too much. I needent have worried as she performed impeccably! This picture was taken at Frankley services on the M5 at 04:40 in the morning. It was a bit chilly! | 5120 returns to Manchester! | (10) |

| 10 | 21. After Greenfield, i drove over to Stalybridge via Carrbrook. On arrival I set the blinds for the 236 service to Glossop - 5120's home town for many years. Whilst I was there I was lucky to get this shot of a current Glossop bound service passing my bus. The 239 takes a longer route than the direct 236 service so I managed to get to Glossop before it. According to the timetable at the stop the current 236 service was due immenently so I changed the route number to the 214 to avoid confusing passengers on my way to Glossop. | 5120 returns to Manchester! | (9) |

| 14 | 11. On day two of the SELNEC 40 event (1/11/09) was mostly a wet day. I travelled via Saddleworth to pick up some friends. The 180 service was once a premier Limited Stop service from Greenfield to Manchester and frequently saw MCW Metrobuses operating on it. It seemed only right to set the blinds for this service whilst making a photostop outside the newly rebuilt Greenfield station. The driver of the 180 operated by First Manchester had given us a strange look as he passed us going the other way. This meant that he would be just 10 minutes behind us - of course, as I wasn't stopping, that time differential grew as we headed towards the museum. | 5120 returns to Manchester! | (8) |

The 153 service was introduced as a commuter exress service from Mossley to Manchester via Carrbrook, Stalybridge, Ashton and fast to Manchester. 5120 is seen here in Ashton town centre on 5/11/09 before running over the section to Mossley via Stalybridge. | 5120 returns to Manchester! | (8) |

| 22 | 4. Much later in the day - after calling in at Dobsons of Northwich to pick up some seat cushions - I travelled up towards Manchester. My intended route of the M60 to Stockport then through to Ashton was thwarted by very heavy traffic so I came off at the A34 juction to go into Manchester city centre. As I passed Parrs Wood (East Didsbury) I couldn't resist calling in and putting up a suitable destination display. Metrobuses were regular performers on the 50 service in their day.... | 5120 returns to Manchester! | (7) |

I know for definate that this bus ran on the 353 service from Ashton to Denshaw in its GMT days based at TE depot (Ashton) as it has been captured on film doing so by my friend David Bielby. It is pictured here at Haddens (between Mossley and Greenfield) which formed the border between Lancashire and the West Riding of Yorkshire. Today it also forms the boundary between Tameside and Oldham (Saddleworth district) | 5120 returns to Manchester! | (7) |

| 25 | 6. Driving up towards Oldham I stopped at Hollinwood to reset the destination again. As a child I used to love riding my bike up the the Stamford Rd terminus of the 429 service. Now, I had a bus with a 1983 blind in it capable of showing the 429 terminus! So, my childhood dream of driving a bus on my local route came true. The 429 from Hollinwood to Lees (Stamford Rd) was reborn for 1 journey - some 23 years after it last ran (25th Oct 1986). Still didn't stop people trying to flag me down though! | 5120 returns to Manchester! | (7) |
